The real story

I barely passed accounting in high school. Needed an abacus to graduate - that's not a joke. Numbers were not my thing.

But somewhere along the way, I realized the problem wasn't that I couldn't do math. The problem was that nobody had ever explained financial concepts in a way that made sense to me. Once I figured it out for myself, I started helping other people figure it out too.

That's still what I do. I translate. I take the spreadsheets and reports and accounting jargon and turn it into plain English that business owners can actually use to make decisions.

Most accountants stop at the report. Most entrepreneurs stop at instinct. JNB was built to fill the gap between those two worlds - connecting the story in your numbers to the strategy in your mind. We speak human first, numbers second.

These days I work with a small team - just a handful of us, but we cover a lot of ground. Bookkeeping, fractional CFO work, operations consulting, even web and app development when that's what a client needs. We're based in Littleton, Colorado, but we work with clients all over.
